Evo has been feeling festive this December. Our offices even match our holiday spirit!
Luckily, it’s not just a change in the office decor that has allowed us to celebrate the season together. The Evo family had a great time at our most successful winter event yet! Earlier this month, the Evo family was able to gather together at StudioFood33 in Turin for a friendly cooking competition and holiday party.
Bonding with food, friends, and fun
While unfortunately not every member of our team was able to make it, most of the Evo family enjoyed a relaxing evening together bonding and cooking. Since we are often working remotely from our international offices or on the road, it was a real treat to spend time together in one place. We were especially happy to welcome some members of the Evo family that we see less often, including our Advisors Paolo Brandimarte, Cristina Cricca, and Silvia Pugi, Partner Marco Palminiello, and Chairman Robert Diamond.
Maybe that’s why we’re feeling the holiday spirit. Nothing brings on the spirit of the season like getting the whole family together to celebrate!
On the menu at the Evo winter event
So what did we actually do besides connect at our winter event? We started off the evening chatting and snacking on an abundant buffet of appetizers in the StudioFood33 cooking school in the historic center.
After a bit of mingling, we split into four teams and got down to business. Our host from StudioFood33 showed us the menu we’d be preparing and gave us some tips and instruction to get us started.
Each team then prepared a three-course meal to dazzle our judges. As an appetizer, we made delicious pumpkin flans in crunchy parmesan bowls. This was followed by a main course of smoked salmon and ricotta ravioli made with hand-rolled squid ink pasta. For dessert, we prepared a layered dessert from mascarpone cream topped with coffee caviar.
The scores were close, but in the end, the winning team included Elena, Giulia, Enrico, Giuseppe, Marco, and Professor Brandimarte.
Although we may not have all taken home a prize, thanks to the delicious food and great company, we all felt like winners. We hope you’re having as happy of a holiday season as Evo is!
